The reason we’re successful at helping clients’ overcome their addictions is because we work across both the conscious and unconscious parts of the mind.
Through Advanced Clinical Hypnotherapy and Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP), we work with a clients unconscious mind, or more specifically their belief system, memory and imagination.
Through the principles of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and more traditional Coaching protocols we also work at a rational and logical level.

For most clients we would look to see them between three and five times. Appointments last up to 2 hours and cost between £200 per hour.
This is not a course and we do look for any commitment upfront – we work on a strictly session by session.

A habit or addiction is defined as a behaviour or activity that is pursued to excess, changes our mood rapidly and generates both pleasure and pain.
Addictions manifest when we fail to meet our primary emotional needs directly – an addiction perverts our intention to find natural strategies to meet our needs and acts as a surrogate – it becomes the go to strategy to feel some pleasure or escape difficult emotions.
When you are feeling insecure, uncomfortable, restless or unhappy your mind naturally looks for ways to feel better.
Your mind will naturally look to take you out of your suffering and transport you to a more peaceful, comfortable and happier place.
So when you stumble across a means to numb, avoid or change uncomfortable feelings, often via a specific behaviour, substance or obsession, your mind takes notice.
And because your mind is highly habitual, loves routine and will always follow instinctive impulses around the relief of uncomfortable thoughts and feelings, a habit can be formed very quickly.
So in simple terms your habits or addictions are your minds best attempt to avoid difficult feelings and to help you feel better.
The problem however is that the part of your mind that manages habits cannot see beyond the right now. Your mind may therefore adopt a habit that might seem to offer relief of uncomfortable feelings in the moment, but over time may have a genuinely unhelpful or even destructive impact on your life.
So your habit or addiction is not part of you – it’s simply something that you have learnt to do as a means to numb specific emotions or to put it another way, to try and feel somehow better in life (not that you actually do!).
Most of our clients have come to understand that by continuing to do more of what they’ve been doing, all they are going to get is more of what they’ve already got, which is usually ill health, ill wealth, life in-balance, a disconnection with the people they love most or, major issues with their careers.
