Definition of Anxiety
Experiencing mild Anxiety, the type associated with speaking in public or going on a first date, is a perfectly natural response to stress and in the main, helps us deal with difficult situations more effectively.
However when Anxiety becomes more acute, often for no apparent reason, it can become extremely debilitating. Indeed, after experiencing Anxiety Attacks, many of our clients say they feel lost, desperate and more scared than ever before.
Hypnotherapy and NLP have been widely recognised as effective tools for the treatment and ultimately resolution of acute Anxiety Conditions, including Social Anxiety, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder and Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome.
The reason that Hypnotherapy and NLP are so effective in treating acute Anxiety Conditions and Disorders lies in the fact that Anxiety is a learned response of our unconscious mind. And because Hypnotherapy and NLP focus on effecting change in our unconscious mind, they are extremely helpful in retraining ourselves to respond in more resourceful, positive and helpful ways.
