XXXXL suits hit the high street for the first time
by Laura Nineham
The biggest off-the-peg suit has gone on sale at an XXXXL size - a record for the British high street.
According to The Daily Mail, the suit has a 64 inch chest jacket and 60 inch trousers and is so big it could fit two adults comfortably.
The news comes the same time as it was revealed that a record 5.5 million Britons are officially obese, which is eight per cent - or a quarter of a million people - more than last year.
"It just goes to show we have a huge problem," said Tam Fry from the National Obesity Forum. "Clearly so many are reaching this weight that clothes to fit them are available on the high street alongside normal sizes. The public health implications are huge, and it is going to take a generation or more to tackle the crisis."
The number of people needing hospital care for obesity shot up ten-fold in the last decade. Last year almost 11,000 people were admitted to hospital for obesity.
This could serve as the motivation for obese people to slim down. Through weight loss hypnosis an obese person can dramatically alter their relationship with food so that they no longer feel the compulsion to over eat. People find that with weight loss hypnosis their attitude to easting shifts, often because the reasons behind the food cravings are dealt with which helps the impulses to fade away.
