Naomi Campbell should consider anger management hypnotherapy after yet another violent outburst
by Laura Nineham
Naomi Campbell's anger problems have again been thrust into the spotlight after she threw a punch at an ABC News camera, according to the Money Times.
The violent outburst came after the interviewer asked her about allegations she was given a "blood diamond" from Liberian war lord Charles Taylor.
"I didn't receive a diamond and I'm not going to speak about that, thank you," said the supermodel. The reporter asked her about refusing to be interviewed by prosecutors in the Hague, who are trying to link the former Liberian president to the possession of uncut diamonds used to buy weapons for the massacres in Sierra Leone between 1997 and 2001.
It's believed that Campbell received a "blood diamond" from Taylor when she was staying as Nelson Mandela's guest in South Africa. The allegations have landed Campbell in the centre of Taylor's trial for crimes against humanity.
The supermodel's infamous angry outbursts have been making headlines for years.
Campbell pleaded guilty to assault after attacking her assistant with a telephone in a hotel room and threatening to throw her out a moving car in 2000. She reportedly slapped another assistant, beating her round the head with a Blackberry in 2005. Italian actress Yvonne Scio claims Campbell left her "covered in blood" after a fight at a hotel in Rome. Campbell was also arrested for assaulting two police officers at Heathrow a couple of years ago.
Her most recent outburst, until now, involved her taking her rage out on her limo driver in New York City last month, according to the Money Times.
The supermodel has blamed her uncontrollable rage on her lingering resentment towards her father for abandoning her as a child.
Anger management hypnotherapy could help Campbell with her rage. Anger is a product of the unconscious mind. Hypnotherapy would help Campbell to harness her unconscious mind and modify her habitual behaviour of angry outbursts. It would help the model to become free of anger by making her feel more relaxed and in control in the situations which trigger her rage.
