Hypnotherapy Professional Accreditation
Here at The Therapy Lounge we are members of the The General Hypnotherapy Register (GHR), the National Council For Hypnotherapy (NCH) and the Society of NLP.
The GHR is the registering agency for the General Hypnotherapy Standards Council (GHSC). The Register is comprised of individual practitioners and is open to any Hypnotherapist who are able to satisfy criteria with regard to both training and ongoing learning. All Registered Practitioners are required to maintain adequate Public Liability & Professional Indemnity Insurance and to accept a published Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints & Disciplinary Procedure.
The NCH currently represent over 1,000 hypnotherapy practitioners in the UK and a further 500 trainees and is committed to ensuring the highest possible professional standards amongst its members. In June 2002 the NCH instigated the The Hypnotherapy Practitioner Diploma (HPD) which is jointly accredited by the NCH and NCFE, the awarding body recognised by The Qualifications and Curriculum Authority (QCA) in England. This is the UK's first independently validated Hypnotherapy certificate.
Established in 1978, the Society of Neuro-Linguistic Programming™ is the worldwide organisation set up for the purpose of exerting quality control over those training programs and services claiming to represent the model of Neuro-Linguistic Programming™.
